Today I was learning how to make an avatar using google drawings
I enjoyed making the highland hairy cow and being creative with the flag (used as the hat), flower (the thistle) and the mascot, as well as adding my own touches like the kilt.
I found it challenging to find the colour for the hair because you had to be careful not to make it look too red but also capture the redness. As well as using the flag in a creative way because we weren't allowed to use it as the background.
My digital learning object shows that I can use poly line, select colours and be kind of creative.
Next time I would change... nothing, I'm pretty proud of my mascot making skills and I think this highland cow is as perfect as I can make it.

Kia ora Liana,
ReplyDeleteWow! You sure covered all the criteria in this creation. I could see from the comments in the drawing that you and Emerald communicated and made decisions together. as you were creating your mascot for a Rugby World Cup team.
This mascot is unmistakably Scottish. Now I wonder what is in store next week? What do you think we are we going to do with our mascots in our Rugby World Cup theme?

Kia ora Liana, my name is Cam, I'm a facilitator in the Kootuitui ki Papakura cluster. I'm so glad that Mrs Torrie shared your blog post about the mascot you and Emerald created together. You must have been very patient to do such a good job, as the polyline and curve tools can be quite frustrating to use at times. I love how you incorporated the Scottish icons in a creative way, and how the horns of the cow are a bit wonky. There are some Scottish highland cattle that live up the road from me, and my favourite one has one horn that points up and the other that points down. How did you and Emerald share the work on this collaborative task?
ReplyDeleteHi Liana, I'm so impressed with your creativity! Your highland cow and kilt really capture your Scottish heritage as well! I enjoyed seeing how creative you were with all the different aspects of your Google drawing as well as seeing how well you explained the process in your blog post. Well done! It would be neat to see a screencast of you creating your drawing, to share with other readers how you can use the polyline tool! Keep up the wonderful blogging!
ReplyDeleteHello Liana, this is absolutely beautiful! this is a great drawing, I love the way the anatomy is in perfect proportion and how you added one of Scotland's famous flowers as well! I also like how you've taken the time to shade the horns, this is just such an amazing piece of work, and the fact that it was on google draw is just amazing!!!! keep up the great work, 😊
